Factory seconds are usually cases with flaws or bullets that have some dings. Usually not damaged enough to pull and redo but enough they are not new in box.
Some people prefer the seconds as they are usually cheaper than the regular stuff and still generally shoot well enough for practice.
Since these are JHP rounds the seconds would be great for practicing with your carry firearm and saving the best stuff for actually carrying and self defense use.
