As a news junkie for the past 35 years I can say that not only is the FBI "Attempting" to divert attention, they are in fact quite successful at it because of a willfully ignorant populace.

There are tens of millions of Americans whom are complete strangers to critical thought and our corrupt institutions are well aware of it.
