Where would rupture or separation mostly likely occur on this type of case. 7.62x39

With one coat of powder, I added about .005 of thickness to the base of a 7.62x39 case. It also added some thickness to the overall diameter of the case. Once I run it through the sizing die, I expect that extra diameter to extend the overall case length. Between these two steps, I believe the excessive headspace issue will be solved.

As a side project I also powdered the inside of the primer pocket from an Indian brand of 5.56. These have oversized primer pockets .170, that won't hold normal small rifle primers. I will test a fit a primer in the coated pocket later today and see if this works. It wouldn't be practical for cheap brass but if you had some loose primer pockets in otherwise good and expensive brass it could be an option.
