Elbe Hills Range Cleanup Sat May 4th near Eatonville

Time for cleanup is scheduled for Sat May 4th from 9am to 3pm (confirmed with DNR). You can arrive early, or leave early, we are happy to have you there. Meetup is at the Eatonville, WA Subway restaurant parking lot. Location: (Subway in Eatonville | Subway (360) 832-2400 & 320 Center St E, Eatonville, WA 98328 | <Food & Dining/Restaurants/All Restaurants> - Yahoo! US Local). We’ll meet up at the Subway parking lot at 9am and travel 17 miles to the cleanup site, maps provided there. Bring lunch and water.

The only people who showed up were myself and kids, and the two DNR ladies. Had some people arrive who wanted to shoot, but did not help.

We did not get the range as cleaned up as last time. We filled three and a half truck beds, but it was hotter and slower going after lunch.

I was picking up plastic bottles and the like until lunch.

DNR said tweekers go to the range and pick up brass and have been going out to the berm to pick up lead.

People have been dumping trash on the range as of late, to where some shooters are going elsewhere to shoot (like Equestrian trail) 'caus "it's too dirty".

This is a high visibility spot and any trash pickup is appreciated. Also too many signs are being shot at and DNR is replacing them, at a cost. There are way too many knuckleheads causing damage here, and along Scott Turner Rd where they should not be shooting.
