I have been getting more educated on shooting as noticed with my question on paralax.
IN researching it I came across this Nikon program called Spot ON ( google nikonhunting and look for their spot on program) It is on line and is an interative program developed around their scopes.
I am sure there are lots of ballistics programs out there.
This one happens to have my scope in it - Since it is a BDC system it gives me more information on the BDC aim points
One of the things I did not realize is how much velocity difference there is between sea level and 5000 ft where I live now. ( MAkes sense when you think of air pressure - just did not realize it till I saw it.
Lots to learn
