Another non-denim option is the Wrangler canvas cargos they sell at Wally World. I'm almost 2yrs in on 3 pairs with no issues besides discoloration/stains from work.

I'm not really a huge fan of cargo pants. And I'm really looking at denim jeans specifically.

They MAY be worth it.

These types of jeans will often have features that make them a bit more comfortable and geared toward more active endeavors. Things like stretch fabric, a diamond type crotch for easier less restrictive movement, etc. They may also have a few more pockets.

If these attributes sound appealing/useful to you, then maybe give a pair a shot (pun intended).

Gonna tell you all about some jeans I found for riding with.
They are called Diamond Gusset Defender Jeans.
They have Kevlar panels in the legs and butt, all the diamond in the crotch where you junk goes.
Leave them straight seamed pants for the ladies.
They aint cheap, but mine are over a decade old.

I have a few pairs of Dickies Flex, I believe they are called. The first ones I bought are more stretchy than the ones I bought most recently.
Other than that, I like the Wrangler Rustler jeans I buy at Bi-Mart.

I've never bought their jeans, but their bibs and carpenter dungarees are great quality and made in Oklahoma. Their customer service also rocks if you have a problem, which I did once.

I would try the LAPG jeans, but they also leave a mile in between belt loops. If I wore a size 32 waist that five loop design would probably be sufficient. Not so much in size 36.

I am big on belt loops and the spacing up front due to carrying appendix. That's another reason I am looking for new jeans. The ones I've been wearing interfere with my ideal holster placement and I can stand single clip holsters.

One I don't see getting mentioned is, The Duluth Trading Co. they make great pants and work beautifully for EDC both IWB and OWB for both men and women with sizes up to men's 52(bigger sizes over 50 online as well) and they don't bunch up in the groin area.

Really do wish that for those that pocket carry someone would put out a six pocket or move the watch (speed strip) pocket to the left side. It's nice to have a dedicated pocket for those five or six rounds just wish they were accessible with left hand. Not very often that manufactures provide south paws an advantage.

I'm a lefty as well. Only time I carry in the pocket is a BUG and it's carried in my right pocket. Although most my jeans are tight enough around the to make pocket carry impractical.

I need better jeans. Haha.

I've had no issues with pockets being tight with the Duluth pants plus they are a good size for carrying things.

9-12 months on a pair of jeans seems pretty standard, unfortunately. I wear cinch jeans mostly that have a little stretch. I'm 32/36 and it's damned hard to find any consistency in sizing, and I like my jeans comfortable, fit well over cowboy boots and a bit of stretch for appendix carry. All those requirements seem to not be possible with real rugged jean.
