East German Makarovs

I'm hoping someone much more knowledgeable than me will chime in. I recently bought my first East German mak, I don't believe there is any import marks on it? That seemed kinda odd? My Bulgarian and ij70 both are pretty easy to see and I couldn't find any on this one, one of the reasons I picked it up other than the condition and price. Anyways does anyone know if any of the East German guns were commercial? Or just military? Or a mix of both? I've never had one and no one in my circle knows or cares about the neat little things Thanks!
