That's a real shame about Doc Holiday's. Drove by the other day and saw a big Office Supply sign. There's Rogue Armament right near where Doc's was which I've had good luck with, but I've only bought magazines there so far.

My preferred shop is Fox Firearms and I've had a number of guns shipped to them and they always call me right after I get the delivery notification email from whichever vendor. They really helped me sort out a defective rifle issue (new Savage Revel Dlx that wouldn't cycle). I'd do business with them every day of the week and their transfer is $25 or $30 if I remember correctly.

I also like Rogue River Pharmacy in Rogue River (slogan is Drugs and Guns! Haha!). I don't have much delivered there but they handled my suppressor after another local shop folded and took off with my money.

The Armory in Grants Pass seems to have a good rep from friends I know who had them build up an AR for them.

Black Flag in Grants Pass doesn't seem to be as big of a store as the Medford one, but they have some great deals on surplus ammo cans when they get a delivery in.

I'm also a big fan of Legendary Arms in Central Point. They always have quite the selection and great prices. It amuses me that it looks like a log cabin and is surrounded by heavy equipment (I think that's another arm of the business).

Bottom line is I've had pretty good luck with nearly every shop in the valley I've been to, at least that is still in business. Fox is my go-to though and I'd highly recommend them if you're looking for a new place.

Legendary Arms is pretty good, usually some pretty interesting & unusual stuff plus decent "normal" guns too. Can search their gunbroker listings with an advance search using "Legendary Arms" as the seller. A bunch of the inventory is usually listed, but not all.

Might be a bit far to travel for Josephine County folks just to pick up an online ship in tho, depending where folks come from.

I'm thinking I'll use fox next time. You're not the first to recommend them. I've bought a couple guns from them in the past and they treated me well. I'm calling black flag in the morning to find out what the hold up is and hopefully it was just a honest mistake.

Curious to know how this turned out...
I went in today, I guess the guy forgot to text after he checked the gun in it's been ready since Friday. It was an honest mistake the guy was apologetic and I understand it gets busy and things get lost in the shuffle. Unfortunately I didn't make it to the shop until 5 and after I filled out the 4473 there was 50 people ahead of me in the queue for backgrounds so won't get my gun til tomorrow but I'm cool with things now that I know what happened and I won't hesitate to do business with black flag in the future.
