Ditto: Not New Member - But Never Submitted an Intro Post

With the recent forum software update I'm getting the same prompt as many others who've been members for a long time - to submit an introduction post, since I never did that when I originally joined NWFA in 2016.

To that end: Greetings. I'm an old dude. Been shooting for 40 years, but consider myself a beginner. Not a rifle or revolver guy, even though I own a few of each. Really a semi-auto pistol guy. Reload for those pistols - multiple calibers.

Got interested and started shooting due to the need for protection / self-defense, due to my profession. Same profession for 40 years, same problem with mentally unstable / criminally intentioned individuals not happy with decisions I made that impacted them. I still focus on training to address that type of targeted threat.

After I began shooting, it didn't take long for shooting to become interesting, then fun. Has continued to be interesting and fun to this day.

Found NWFA in 2016. It is the only online forum / community / social media / information website I belong to.

I continue to learn so much from the members every day and appreciate that to no end.
