People in Portlandia are open minded and tolerant. However they have a Zero Tolerance Policy for those Nazis and Fascists who disagree with them on any point or fail to fully agree with them. Check out the Milwaukie to PDX branch of the Light Rail system. They have placed full sized row boats made out of at least 10ga steel into the ground in various spots as part of the landscaping art. I'm sure those were commissioned on the cheap.

When I use that term it's usually just calling a spade a spade. I know it's impossible to change human nature. It's also a popular term used on the radio and played often with a story that proves it's true. Most of us don't hate liberals but think they are morons to vote for gun control. Heck, I don't even hate you but totally disagree with your politics because your politics can get innocent people killed.
