I'm curious to know if there is any interest out here in the surrounding Yamhill County area for a Dillon XL 650 press with case feeder for a decent price. Here me out, I sold my XL 650 to a fellow member on here from Lincoln city a few months ago because I deemed that since I have so many life complications taking all of my time that I hadn't had time to do any substantial reloading and still had an RL550 as a backup. Well fast foreward a couple of weeks and I got an opportunity to actually do some case repriming which I usually do on the 650 with just a standard repriming die which is pretty quick with a case feeder but of course I didn't have the machine anylonger and then I was pissed at myself for selling it. I then started searching for anything available in a reasonable price range and found a couple on eBay. Well in my haste I bid on more than one auction and wound up winning both which actually set me back more than I had anticipated spending. The first was won about six days before the second one and I immediately set it up and started doing upgrades that I had on the previous model and mounted it on an inline fabrication ultra mount. When the second one arrived I ordered the same parts and figured I use one strictly for large primers and the latter for small however I quickly realized that I don't have adequate bench space for two presses with case feeders without dong some significant altercations to my reloading room. the second one is still resting on its side although I do have a Dillon mount that will go along with it should someone be interested. If not I'll pack it away in a box for the time being.

Post up an ad in the classifieds. If priced fair, it will sell. The 650 is a good press; I like mine.

What is a "decent price" from your perspective? The market is softer the last year or so for reloading stuff, so I would take that into account when establishing your asking price if you want to move it without waiting too long. Or wait until the next ammo shortage to sell it.

I think I'm going to take Stompers advice and finish installing the upgrades and then store it or maybe I'll fabricate a stand and mount it to the floor instead of the bench. I am going to list a square deal in .45 acp though cause I keep cracking my head on it while accessing my tools ( it's mounted on a inline double docking station)

It is nice to have multiple presses if you have the space and budget for it.

I have two 550 presses and a 650. I leave one 550 set up with large primer and one small primer. I mostly load small primer cartridges on the 650 in higher volume with the casefeeder, but occasionally swap to large primer on this machine.

It's not hard to switch the priming system, but with three presses set up it's less switching stuff around, and more time loading.
