Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Front ring markings are pretty sparse...serial number and what looks like a tiny circle within a circle above it. No crest. Manufacturer and model along the side of the receiver. Importers Mark at the end of the barrel.
Nothing of any note. I picked it up in a trade several years ago, and shot it for a while, then found that I prefer the small ring mausers in 6.5 and 7mm, as well as Mosins, enfields, etc... more, so it sat.
Due to the lack of a crest and the importer's stamp at the end of the barrel I'm pretty positive this was no one's grand dad's wartime bring back. Just a collectable shooter and an example of old world craftsmanship.
