This is a Sako L579 Forester with a walnut stock with beautiful figuring and some nice, understated inlay in the fore-end. The barrel is a heavy-ish contour and a recessed crown with no markings except "243 WIN", suggesting that is was built as a custom gun, which was common with this model as Sako used to sell the receivers for just such purpose.
I bought this rifle used about 20 years and took it to the range a few times (very accurate) and hunted with it once. LOP: 13.5"
There are a few minor scuffs on the wood (shown on photos) and the scope base has a few spots of minor oxidation, otherwise the gun is in excellent condition. The stock has an oil finish and a Pachmeyer buttpad.
The rifle will come with the scope base and rings (made by Sako).
The scope is not included in the sale.
