maybe good for small lite packer or survival .22 plinker . but having shot the Cricket rifle before, the 1st thing that comes to my mind is a 'hideous trigger' and a rough hard pull cocking bolt .Looks like a good donor for an ultralite backpacking rifle… er… I mean pistol. Carbon fiber tube chasis with a brace off the back.
The benefit of the Cricket (IMO) would be the longer barrel and the ability to shoot any kind of .22 rimfire ammo - e.g., CB, short, long, LR, et. al.Trigger is fine. Bit for survival I'd go with a Ruger MK1 or MK2
It's rather large
Most any .22 rimfire gun will shoot any .22 rimfire cartridge, but a semi-auto will at least not feed the next cartridge if the previous shot was not powerful enough to work the bolt properly. Most will not eject. Some will jam trying to eject/extract completely.Ruger will shoot anything.
Thought about that.Throw a stamp at the pistol and place it in the kiddo stock. It would be pretty slick with those fiber optic sights.
Those little break action wire stock single shots always seemed like something you could just put in a car panel with a brick of 22 and forget about it.I was thinking about a survival gun. Single shot might not be optimum, but would force you to conserve ammo. Accurate enough, generally. And I had a handy little Marlin lever gun to go with it. Should be good for small game.

Brace is cheaper, faster, easier.Throw a stamp at the pistol and place it in the kiddo stock. It would be pretty slick with those fiber optic sights.
