I am not making any of this up. We were told today that a uniformed police officer will be present at work tomorrow because someone who is coming to a hearing is a CPL holder (not carrying) and someone took it as a threat. I don't know if the guy said something about it (threatening or not). That wasn't the notice we were given - just "It has come to our attention that somneone who has a CPL will be on the grounds" I and another programmer said we are CPL holders - can we still come to work? Then I stated that actually being a CPL holder proves we don't have any DV or Felony convictions (at the time of issue) and actually we should be leery of people who don't have them because they haven't had a background check and could be criminals just waiting to do something bad. This really PO'ed Mr. Safety off and he said "Why do you always come up with stuff to make everything more difficult." I am really mad. I am going to make a shirt with my scanned CPL copy and start wearing it to work on casual Fridays.
