Hmmmm seems like there is some hope for at least a part of Komiefornia. Now if the East part of Washington could just do the same thing........... There would be 2 States with some sense.

More like if Seattle would become its own state there would be two happy states...the old Washington and the new cali one.

Seriously western wa outside of the Seattle area is pretty freakin pro gun in my experience

I hope they succeed in their secession. Lord knows Kalifornia does NOT represent their veiws when it comes to political issues. Its about time parts of states rise up when theyve been ignored too long. The high density populous metropolises and slums of states rarely if ever reflect the views and opinions of their interstate distant farmland and country communities.

I agree, but think you need to make that King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties. The rest of the state is pretty pro gun with maybe the exception of Vancouver.

IME the eastern parts of King and Pierce are MUCH more pro-gun than Sodom and Gomorrah on the Sound. There has long been a vocal East King secessionist movement trying to establish a new "Cedar County" out of the current EKC...

I wish they would just build a 60' tall wall on the border of Clownifornia to keep em in so they have to abide by the laws their elected officials wrote & to keep em from migrating north!!! That'll teach em to get their heads out of their arses at the voting polls!!!

Caveman Jim, as a former resident of the State of Jefferson, I would offer the ability to escape via Political Asylum, to wit:

We all know that the original Asylum seekers of say Kommunist Russia, were invariably staunch Conservative (old World Conserving types) and are ready & willing to Adopt the proper attitudes, as uhh, I did :) OF COURSE, there would have to be a very difficult educational course to validate, their real desires, to live free of Kommunist Political life styles...

Maybe they could be Choke Setters, or otherharsh logging life styles, for a five year period... Endentured servitude sort of...

You don't get here Free, IOW.

I lived through the Dec 12th 1995 storm, on the Coast.... And that was my Endentured Servitude .... Harsh Living, the coast that is...

Several AA meetings, lit by flash lights, because we wanted to stay, and knew the way to do it.

Frankly I wish the voters of those counties that was to secede would put it on a referendum within their own counties and it it passes simply declare independence from Kalifornia.
All the leftie politicians like Boxer and Pelosi have a history of making statements that can be used directly against them. Just pull up their statements with regard to Albenians in Kosovo when Clinton was bombing Serbia, or more recently about Libya and Syria. I am sure that there is a gold mine of comments about people having the right of self determination and throwing aside an oppressive regime.

My Bad, I had forgotten about that. Don't blame those folks in EKC at all either. Bottom line though is we have to live with the crap that Seattle area votes for.

So here is my question: Big if, but what if most of the folks in the aforementioned State of Jefferson, and perhaps E. WA and E Or. quit paying taxes en masse? You know, ala "No taxation without representation." How hard and how fast would the Feds come down on them and either put them all in a "camp" or simply use deadly force to solve the problem? See, the vast majority of these folks believe in right and wrong and so would be hard pressed to go beyond the pale unlike the current folks in charge who would have no compunction in purging these "domestic far right terrorists." Its a shame no one would be allowed to form new states on their own.
No, this, bubblegum didn't happen over night it took decades and will take decades to reverse unfortunately. 2014 is the place to start.
Vote and teach your kids why voting for the right person IS important.

It is a state issue so I assume that you are talking about not paying non federal taxes.
In that case the feds would not care.
Break it down further, the only tax you could really opt out of is property tax, which in most places is levied by the county or the city.
State taxes are mostly limited to sales and income. Majority of individuals do not have an option on not paying these. They get collected by the retailer or the employer.

Well Brutus has a good point, and I can show a local, Lane County aspect: drive the 126, and you will Know when you cross the ~east/liberal & West/conservative~ line, them libtards just do not care about West Lane county's roads! For that matter, Head EAST fromthe center of the county, and see the Roads go bad, Again !!!! The $$$$ are spent where the libtards are.... And at their agenda, other places receive, at their ~pleasure~ it is a sick fact, and I have been on nearly every county road in Lane...

BleuJean' home of the DUX, is even worse with road funds and where they are spent first...

On another note, there are several different, variable sources that state after the SHTF, and the big collapse, that the UNITED STATES will most likely be split into 7 geographic/social areas, like State of Jefferson would like, or the oft heard of State of Cascadia. These are from All spectrums of political thought, from very Conservation Minded, (used to get away from the R word) to very socialistic the D word ;)

One MAJOR problem is, some of those Two groups wants the same geographic, butnot social order!!! Social used there NOT as socialist, but shall we say "Loggers versus Tree Huggers" ??? True loggers want to conserve, to reproduce, Tree Huggers... Well they just need to be spiked, like they want to do to trees :D

philip,
A Conserving sort of fellow, inthe BoonDocks....

Being a recent 'fugee from california I don't know that it's time to put the wall up yet, but it's certainly getting close. First thing I did after getting my drivers license was get a business license and start making money and paying taxes. Granted, the taxes are a heck of a lot lower up here than in california.

But once you get more than an hour north of sacramento, you're driving through a lot of farm country, were it not for the food and taxes produced in those areas, sacramento could probably care less. I've driven quite a few of those roads over the years (still have family in norcal), and most of them have a greater resemblance to goat trails than they do roads.

I am more than happy to support the state of jefferson, the state of lincoln, or even the new country of Cascadia. Whether it's a pipe dream or not, there are lots of people who did a lot of important stuff using only a dream as a guide. Some paid for it with their lives, but some were successful. Just ask George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and the rest.

I would vote to secede From Kal I for nia . Block off the Sacramento river and sell the water to Southern California. for a $0.50 a gallon. that is lower than Perrier water.
