Carhart zip up cold weather hoodie is nice and bulky.

I do blue collar work and that fits my dress style unless it's a more formal event.

I can OWB a full size pistol and no one would ever notice plus carry a little snub nose in a pant pocket.

I have leather coats that are more formal but I'm a big guy so concealing is easy.

But seriously, IWB with a t shirt/hoodie/jacket is good for me.

I bought a riding vest for cooler days on the bike. It has pockets on the inside for either righty's or lefty's. As for everyday carry, I prefer to carry on my person as I run warm and generally will peel a layer off, I would not want to leave a jacket with my firearm somewhere.

If I could find a jacket/sweatshirt that had zippers on the inside of the pockets allowing you to access your waistband (appendix) without removing your hands that would be cool. Especially for carrying a Jframe when clothes getting in the way is not a factor.

That's a great question. I've seen some ads for "concealed carry jackets" but never owned one. It seems like the NRA Store may have one. I kind of like the idea of having some sort of pocket under an armpit that works like a shoulder holster, but as some have mentioned there is the issue of possibly needing to take the jacket off when you get too warm. Then what? I'll be following this thread to see what others suggest.

For hiding the pistol I have LONG done the same thing as Joe13. Heavy hoody just over size. Easily hides the pistol yet easy to draw. For when it gets real cold Spiwake makes jackets made for LEO's. Have long used them since they have a place to carry a backup. Pricey coats but they last a long damn time. Last one I finally wore out enough to get rid of was like 15 years old.

Something like this would be cool. Without the Velcro and tactical look. I like the pocket idea. Why does all edc clothing have to scream "I carry a gun!"

A lot of clothing apparel alteration places should be able to do that

I have been working on my own journey with this topic for quite some time (since the 90s).

Devil is in the details. It is easier to use smaller guns with more flexible clothing. For example Columbia soft shell jacket. I have put a G43 in the breast pocket, but it was awkward at best. My P32 does great. Same with a Carhart puff vest, where either clothing item does not offer much support.

For larger guns I do either belly band or external carry. Currently, my fav is a KAVU satchel, which has two zipper areas, so I can keep my other items away from the weapon. Note my old Bianchi fanny pack from the 90s under a jacket was my go to for years before this sachel.

Tried out an Outback vest that I got from the Sportsman Show. Was too flexible and lacked support.

I am impressed with the rigidity of the Dickies quilted vest. I have dedicated to my motorcycle gear, where I just use the under jacket's pocket for that carry situation.

Ted Blocker in Tigard use to carry some really nice vests. They have limited supply these days and I am not sure who is doing it. See a local company at shows, but don't have the name to share.

I am mostly a pocket carrier. I look for pockets that open at the top. slash cut openings don't hold the gun as well. I also look for those with a tiedown at the waist. it makes for an easier draw when the coat is not buttoned or zipped up. I also don't use a holster when in a coat pocket. if the coat is not buttoned, zipped or tied down i don't get enough drag to separate the holster from the gun. A couple times in practice I looked like a bird flapping its wing when the gun did not separate from the holster and the holster did not come out of the pocket.
I have an old Carhart chore coat that has inside pockets that also work well. Good Luck DR
