Good condition Volunteer Enterprises Inc Commando Mark 45 Thompson replica for sale. Unknown rounds through it, 16" barrel is still in good shape. Few scratches but overall still looks great. Comes with 4 30rd mags. $700 OBO.

Must go through FFL, buyer pays all related fees. Trades will be considered, not looking for anything chambered in 45 though.

Honestly I'm not sure, we haven't used anything but the Thompson mags. I'll try to do some research and see.

No, I don't, I've been scouring the internet trying to find manufacturer dates by serial number, any suggestions?

They were made back in the eighties from what I can find online.

Here's an old Guns America auction ad.


"According to Fjiestad's Blue Book, Volunteer Enterprises in Knoxville, TN, operated from 1969 until some time in the 1980s. This is one of their Thompson clones; not, mind you, quite like a Thompson since the bolt handle is on the left side and the construction is substantially different. This one's serial number is very low - 8,000 range, and it does not have the 1972 patent date, so we estimate it was manufactured in 1971."


Here's another auction ad from Icollector.com which narrows it down a bit.
