I came across this YouTube channel in my travels and thought I'd pass it along for others to enjoy. It has 87 episodes of the old Combat! show, starring Vic Morrow, Rick Jason, et al. Link here. Cheers friends. :)

I thought that show was cool as a kid. We were living in Japan, so the Germans spoke German and the American actors were dubbed in Japanese. Watched a couple minutes of one of those Youtube episodes awhile back for a childhood nostalgia kick. My takeaway:

I especially liked the episode where he defeats the tank with a log by jamming the log into the tanks boogie wheels.
Personally, I don't think it would work and would be a good way to get killed.

It was indeed sad when Morrow perished. He was too young. And the film they were shooting was pretty crappy too. :(

Combat!
Was a gritty TV show...were some things lacking in the realism department..yep.
But...
The story lines were very good and some of the actors and extras had military and or WW2 experience ,which helped.

The 1962 film Hell is for Heroes with Fess Parker , Steve McQueen , Bobby Darin , James Coburn and a young Bob Newhart is well worth a watch and has a "Combat!" like feel to it....
Due to Robert Pirosh having been the writer for the movie....he was also involved with Combat! the TV series.

I haven't seen Hell is for Heroes in decades. Children napping, woman grading papers ... so left to my own devices and I see it is on Amazon Prime. :D

Consarn it ... woman came flitting in and told me to empty the dishwasher and dump the trash. Best laid plan of mice and men. Its OK, I will fire up the old war film regardless. Bowl of popcorn, a cold beer, and good cinema. It will be good.

As a young boy, I fell in love with Claudine Longet who was a guest star on Combat!
I thought Sgt. Saunders was a cool dude.
I have an AR9 Colt pattern in his memory.

Straight mags for me, no funky, angled pistol mags !

Now playing Consarn It Part II: The Interruptions Continue. Little girl woke up, kept referring to the people on the film I'm trying to watch as "hunters", because in her mind man with rifle equals hunter, even though I explained to her the word is "soldier". Gave up, put on a cartoon for her, back to the home office. :s0112:

What is it with you people and your toxic masculinity? Wait. I just got an ideal for a movie. It's called...Lady Combat. Sponsored by Gillette
