I recently inherited a Colt Python and it seems to have a problem. I can squeeze the trigger only once, either double action or single action, then it locks up and I cannot squeeze the trigger again until I swing open the cylinder and close it. Again I can only squeeze the trigger once before it locks up. Timing? Any ideas? :huh:

i believe it sounds like the hand is getting caught between the ratchet and the cylinder latch...when this happens the hand usually goes up, turns the cylinder, the hammer drops, when you release the trigger the hand gets pinched on the way back down and the action will not reset...
