I may pick up an old Colt Pistol Positive from a friend. It is in very ruff shape to say the least. Is it worth it to re blue it? I know factory bluing is best but if it is gone and showing minor surface rust would it not be best to restore it. The caliber is .22 wrf and I know it is obsolete. I just like to buy old rusty guns every now and then and bring them back to the beauty they once had. Any feed back would be great thanks.

The gun in its present condition is most likely worth more then the gun restored. If the gun has little or no collector value or the concern is not the value of the gun do what every you want to with it. BUT down the road do not be surprised when its impossible to get anywhere near book value if you go to sell it.
