Recently got my CMMG Dissent MK4 9mm and wanted to add the Franklin Armory Model: BFSIII® AR-C1 Binary Trigger. Will it work with my pistol? I seem to only find mixed opinions or info related to the Banshee and not the Dissent.

Unfortunately CMMG will only say their products work with only genuine CMMG parts even though the CMMG Dissent has a mil spec lower.
I had same experience with fostech. Said echo sport would not work on a s&w 15-22. The reason is the 15-22 lacks the trip portion of the bolt that is found on an ar15 regular bolt (ie full auto bolt).

My advice is to look at the Franklin armory info and find out exactly what bolt it will work with. Then if your bolt is the same you are likely to be ok. If your bolt is different in length, no trip portion or anything else it probably won't work without modification. In my example I removed the trigger lock in the binary trigger and it works perfectly fine on the 15-22.

Also keep in mind theirs pending legislation to ban FRTs and binary triggers in OR.

Here is a video testing delta team FRT in many different guns. Some work and some don't. If it's a standard bolt the trigger was designed for it tends to work. If the bolt is different than designed for it tends not to work.

Thanks. I figured if it doesn't work I'll just toss it in my AR instead. Have you heard if Oregon does ban the FRT will it just be new sales or all FRT's already purchased?

Just to follow up incase someone else is considering the Franklin Armory BFS III in their CMMG Dissent MK4. It works. Plug and play. No issues.
