Caliber is the internal diameter of a barrel bore. Brandon claims 9mm is "high caliber." 9mm Luger bore is .355 inches, so just 3/1000 shy of a 358 Winchester. Can't say I've ever regarded 358 Win as a "high caliber" round. And besides, what the hell is "high caliber"? No standard definition that I've ever heard of. Must be in the eye of the beholder. Sort of like salsa: one person's "medium" is scorching hot to someone like my wife. Bottom line is Brandon was speaking nonsense. What a surprise...

Joe migh have meant it as 'High Caliber Definition: 1. Of a high standard; high-quality; highly capable; very skilled, experienced, etc.".. rather than what we assumed to be "bullet caliber".

In that case, all the sub $300 Hi-points, Rock Islands, Brazilian knock-off 9mm's and similar should be perfectly safe... right!?
