Christmas approval!

I'm gonna call it a Christmas approval even if it was a few days early! I went back and forth between a yhm r9 and an omega 9k and ended up getting an r9 because it is rifle rated in some applications. First chance I get, I'm gonna get out and see what it sounds like in a few applications and report back. First impressions are it seems well build, it is a little heavy for its size but it's 17-4 not titanium or some space age printed metal, so that is to be expected. It was also pretty darn affordable, So that's nice.

Well i got the wife out today for a couple hours and i can report that i think the R9 was a great buy! I think it would make a great 1st or 5th can for anyone. Being 100 percent transparent I have no way to measure decibels but my ears. On a 16in 5.56 I believe it's honestly kinda comparable to a full size polonium. It's a little louder but not drastic. But does have a different tone. I think it sounds better then an obsidian 9 when in k configuration. The full size obsidian is quieter but not a ton on the same guns. It sounded great on a .32….while it wasn't an extensive science test, or really scientific at all I can say for the money I think it's awesome and will probably recommend it if ever asked what a good first can would be.
