Has anyone gone through any of their trainings? I reached out asking a few questions, got one quick response and haven't been able to get anything answered since. Each class is like 400 or so and before I start throwing money at it I'd like to hear success stories or horror stories. Thanks yall!

I'd look into @Cerberus Group though if I had the dough to go thru a training course.

lol! Solid offer! I'll just stick to Cerberus, I've been in contact with them and definitely plan to go do some training there. If I ever feel like paying money to get hit with wrenches, you're my first choice.

I'm just curious. The training around my neck of the woods isn't exactly geared towards what I'm looking for and the owner is a fancy gun tuber,
they looked legit. Had to ask around.

I've been to a number of different trainings over the years. I've learned something at each, but they never seemed worth the money when it was over. Instructors have to coach up the weak links in the class a lot, and that involved a lot of group drills burning up ammo with little gain for me. I get to do plenty of primer popping and powder burning at my range.

Best use of training money was paying for a private 5 hour session with OFA back when they were in biz, cost about the same as a class but a lot more instruction/coaching, focused shooting time, and a lot less standing around and gab. If I ever make a small unit tactics/CQB/force on force type class, that seems like a lot of potential, I don't know any of that stuff.

Never heard of them. In addition to Cerberus, Jon Dufresne of Kinetic Consulting has a buddy down in Eugene and holds classes on a regular basis. Also, FAS in Onalaska, WA has several reputable guest instructors have come around.

My personal experience with Cause and Effect Tactical Solutions:
I signed up for their night fighter course in early 2024. Drove almost 3 hours to Cottage Grove to a range I'd been to before. We were specifically instructed to meet up at a boat ramp 10 min from the range, the last point with cell service (normal procedure for classes there). No one showed up, so I drove to the range, chain across the entrance, didn't hear any activity up there. Went back to the ramp, called the number on the website, no answer. Waited about half hour, went back to the range, still nothing, back to the ramp, nothing. Waited another half our or so, then went home. Emailed them that night and they said the class did take place and that they would bump me to the next class as supposedly they had more coming up, but they wouldn't give me a refund. A guy I knew attended the day time classes and told me that the instructor rolled right into the night class without checking the roster to make sure everyone was there, so they never realized I wasn't there. I included this in my email to them. Now, Nov 2025, still haven't heard anything about another class here in Oregon and still no refund. TBH, I wouldn't recommend them. I've heard the main instructor has some ego issues...

That checks out, talking to people I've met have had similar experiences.

The gun tuber guy that seems to run it all, Cozz. I like his ego/attitude as entertainment, but it sucks that his approach to business is just as self centered as his social media personality.

I hope you're able to get that resolved soon!
