Little late on the review but better late than never, right? (I just came back from a 4 day trip to ID attending an Axon Instructors Course. Getting my zap on!)

This was my 5th trip out the Cerberus Training Group in Goldendale WA and as always, I had a great time.

Vehicle Tactics

Pros:
  • Range is always fantastic!
  • Instruction was on point with Mr. Shields in usual form as an experienced industry leader and all around good fella to spend a day shoot'n with, all while learning from his decades of experience
  • A solid mix of knowledge and practical application in a near scientific approach and delivery of information
  • Great group of attending students (this always seems to be the case at Cerberus)
  • Steve stories and how he always convinces me to buy another revolver somehow...Probably something in a .22 WMR this go.
  • Multiple myths debunked surrounding ballistics as they pertain to vehicles
  • Vehicle based drills and the practical application of such was fantastic
  • Explanations as to WHY things are done certain ways, from a tactical standpoint, were on point and appreciated
  • *With Steve on range, I'm never the oldest guy in the class, which seems to be happening more and more these days...*

Cons:
  • Didn't get to pet any dogs this time...
  • Would have liked a bit more live fire in terms of round count. Course suggested 500 but we did not approach that number. I appreciate saving the money however!
  • I forgot to buy ammo from High Desert Cartridge Company!
Stay Safe,

Jesse

I had more drills slated for the day, but we spent an inordinate amount of time test shooting the vehicles and going over ballistics. I think it was necessary to cover as much as possible, and to have questions answered...but is duly noted.

Next class will be offered as a long day to get more shooting in...more bang for the buck as they say. I went and changed the round count to 300, and added for people to bring rounds for test shoot into the vehicles.

A great group of people in the class, as was relayed to me by others. Other than the windshields, I'll be able to get one more class out of the vehicles before swapping them out.
