This weekend is the Outdoor Show in Eugene at the Lane County Fairgrounds. Bi-Mart always has some smokin' deals on ammo at those.

I saw EPD declared the protest at the Federal Building on 7th a RIOT around 6 p.m.

I live out in the country, so I haven't personally seen anything. On my wife's Facebook feed, our niece was having trouble getting home from work and an archery buddy posted that he was having trouble getting to the outdoor show. Neither of them was the least bit happy.

Me? I try to avoid Eugene other than an occasional doctor appointment.

EPD posted some pictures later that looked like they had successfully cleared things out. The question is, where did they all go?

When I was getting my CHL renewed at the Lane County Courthouse earlier this month, there were anti-ICE protesters on the courthouse steps. It was surprising how grey-haired old ladies were the majority.

I generally try to witness these events just in case something exciting happens. The largest section of society that participates is little gray haired women every time

That's a problem for me as well. There is definitely more for the boat owner/fisherman than the hunter. I'm just not that hardcore of a fisherman. My son likes to fish though, and he tags along with us.

So let me just tell you the "riots" were still rioting, but it wasn't much of a riot. They dispensed tear gas which cleared out just about everyone for a while. Was certainly worth viewing.

I just got an email from a buddy I'm golfing with tomorrow. He had just gotten home from a charity event at The Shedd, which I think is around Broadway and Pearl/High downtown. When it ended, the organizers mentioned there was some activity a couple of blocks away they should avoid. Sounds like the riot just moved someplace else.

I've never smelled/tasted tear gas, but I think I'd evacuate. A guy I played football with in high school joined the Marines. He got to some part of the training where they tear gassed him. He couldn't take it and they basically just let him out. Next thing I heard he was pumping gas.
