Youd have to call around till you found an FFL willing to order one for you then serialize it then run your BGC then sell it to you.
Not likely...

No. It has to be a Licensed Manufacturer. Not a dealer. I used ADR tactical in Springfield. Its a gunsmith service... no BGC. But only if there is nothing else on the frame... I had to scrap a G17 and a G43 frame cause I did my own serial completely legal. Now, the government ows me 200 bucks for having scrapped the frames that were completely fine, and I can't find replacements. Nobody wants to send an 80% even to ADR for them to engrave it, as its "importing". So stupid.

Is that from back when the legal advice allowed individuals to serialize their own 80% builds? When HB2005 passed I wondered how this would affect older builds that were privately serialized.

And if they could, how would one go about it, I really miss building stuff. Would they issue serial number after background but before it is built?
Yes. I would have them serialize it before it's considered a firearm. Contact ADR Tactical for more advice on how to get this done.

I know in the People's Republic of Kalifornia they imposed serialization on 80%er builds. But they allowed the builder to do the work themselves. By (their) law that information must then be reported to the Cal-Doj firearms unit.
Maybe it is similar in Wa.?

The most important question is: Are you trying to home build a firearm configuration that was banned?
If you can't buy an AR receiver now, I would assume you can't build an 80%er AR receiver either.

The other side of the coin is that Washington state doesn't maintain a registration base, or firearms to it's owner (California does and did) so there is not a way for them to have a paper trail on when and where you acquired said firearm.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Washington's AW ban didn't effect current owners on the date of its signing. It just prohibits FFL's from sales or transfers from that date forward.

The GOV has been making new criminals with gun control policies since 1934.
Let that sink in…
Wisdom and discretion can go a long way in avoiding trouble with reasonable people. With that as a starting point, how much tyranny are the Citizens willing to put up with? In California., Washington, New York and Illinois - apparently a lot.
In Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Arkansas ( just to name a few) very little.

ADR Tactical is great. I was actually just there yesterday 😁

Its a simple gun smithing service. Pay, have the number lasered in, go home. You need no ID or anything...
