Calling all Mark IV experts (maybe other Mark series too?)

Got a Mark IV and have been working on upgrading parts.

Replaced factory mag release with extended one, and after I got the grips off and was fiddling with the factory mag release parts, a spring falls out from somewhere - and I have no idea where it goes or what it's for.

Thoughts?

(Safety lever came later so it's not related to that)

Thanks! It looks like it could be the magazine assist spring, since the magazine assist came off too.

Probably the magazine assist; there should be a plunger too.
