Remind me, is the slide stainless steel?

It's not stainless, I got it this way. The previous owner said the factory coating penetrates far enough that it's still protected after polishing. I'm not sure if that's true or not. But I haven't seen any signs of it being an issue. I carried it IWB for a while last summer and didn't have any rust.
