Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
OK, so the city/state paid for the police to collect the firearms. They got the gift cards donated. Now they are melting them down. Is the city/state going to pay for it, or is it donated time? Because melting stuff down like that is expensive.
Oh, and not to mention all of the nasty fumes put off by melting down the plastic parts and heavily preserved wood.
The important part is that Amazon is one of the contributers. I have bought gun accessories from them. guess I'll be sending them a note that I'll buy them through other companies since they are anti gun. Strength in numbers folks.
The bricks/plaques will be stolen out of the parks by the anarchists and used in next years may day free for all. Mayor Mike will white wash the episode claiming the anarchists were just reusing, repurposing, and recycling the "peace bricks." The police chief will be by the mayors side nodding his head in agreement.
Oops, looks like they can't do this after all. After all the trouble the mayor and the city went through to come up with this plan, the SPD had to quietly inform the mayor behind the scenes that all of the collected guns have already been melted down and turned into rebar.
Not only did the mayor and his friends come up with one of the stupidest ideas of all time, but they're so out of touch with their own departments, that they didn't even know whether or not the guns were still available to do this with.
The worst part? I wouldn't be surprised at all if the mayor has the rebar re-melted for his little plan.
