Evidently Burris quit making the "super low" (puts scope body only about 0.30" above the rail) rings. This seems to be the only inexpensive answer to my problem.

Where are you located? Manchester's in longview has some nos. Burris and leupold rings and bases.been on the shelf for probably 15 years. Also some older redfield. They are kind of hidden in the center of things there, so, you have to ask to dig through the boxes. Bought several old 4 screw redfield rings there. And I know I saw mostly "low" rings Iin the boxes.

I live in Taos NM now. The "super low" rings put the scope body like 0.030" above the base.
