Only Belgian one I have available

No longer in production. The Hi-Power is one of John Moses Browning's finest designs. And although it is possible to still find Hi-Power pistols at dealers across the U.S., the Hi-Power is technically out of production. Current dealer inventories will be the last available from Browning for the foreseeable future. Of course, periodically, special custom versions will continue to be available from the John M. Browning Custom Shop in Herstal, Belgium.

When it was introduced early in the 20th century, the Browning Hi-Power 9mm pistol was a revelation. Designed by John M. Browning and perfected in the years following his death by Fabrique Nationale's prolific designer, Dieudonne SaiveIt, it offered the perfect balance of handling, size, and firepower, with an impressive 13-round magazine capacity. Over the years, the Hi-Power has aged gracefully and continues to have a loyal following among those "in the know." Whether you are a novice or a seasoned shooter, you will appreciate the fine craftsmanship and function of these classic pistols, the sure heft of the machined steel frame and slide, and their natural pointability.
Even with the double-column magazine, the grip is narrow to neatly accommodate nearly every hand size, and the single-action trigger provides a smooth, consistent pull. As reliable, accurate and easy to shoot as ever.
Sure, there are many, many other full-size 9mm pistols on the market that are made to meet many different requirements. But in the end, every true firearm enthusiast will have (or wish he or she had) a Hi-Power in their collection. Having and shooting the best just means something.
The Browning Hi-Power is one of the most revered pistols of all time. This ground-breaking firearm was originally designed by John M. Browning and perfected in the years following his death by Fabrique Nationale's prolific designer, Dieudonne Saive. The Hi-Power has proven itself around the world in the hands of law enforcement, military, special operations forces and law-abiding citizens. Add a legendary piece of functional firearm history to your collection now with a 9mm Browning Hi-Power.

Sights

Hi Power pistols are available with fixed, low-profile three-dot sights. The Hi Power Standard is available with optional low-profile target sights that are adjustable for windage and elevation.

Magazine Capacity

Double-stack magazine design. 13-round magazine standard in 9mm. 10-round models in 9mm available where required by law. Follow state and local laws regarding magazine capacity when ordering.

Trigger

The light single-action trigger breaks clean and crisp. This is the system preferred by professionals around the world.

Frame and Slide

Forged from solid steel, yet still lightweight. The heft of the Hi Power keeps recoil light and manageable for accurate firing, even at a rapid rate. The balance in the hand is impeccable.

Editors note: The 9mm Browning Hi-Power was John Moses Browning's final design -- he was working on it when he passed away in Belgium. When you shoot a Hi-Power it is not just shooting "another nine." it is shaking hands with the greatest firearms designer the world has ever known. Members of the web team at Browning think that's pretty cool. We hope you have been able to find and shoot a Hi-Power.

  1. I agree to the classified rules and terms of service
Original finish. Just old/used. Hence the scuffs
Nice gun with some nice custom touches; the trigger, hammer and extended safety appear to be Cylinder and Slide add-ons. The rear sight looks like it's from a revolver, but hard to tell without a top view

Not sure why someone would say anything on this gun is custom parts or work by Cylinder and Slide? Hilarious at best! From the pics its tough to tell anything other then its a hi power variant and seller says its made in Belgium. Its got some gunsmith work done to it and it looks to have revolver sights added which was done by dozens and dozens of diff gunsmiths in the 60s and 70s as it was the "in thing" back then to get trick adjustable sights on hi powers. It looks like a Mk1 variant but cannot tell without at least seeing the top of the slide and the end of the slide. If it has weep hole at the end of the slide below the barrel its a MKII and it would also have a narrow rib running down middle of the slide top. If those are not present then what this would appear to be would be a MK1 with custom sights added as well as ring hammer and trigger/grips. It was probably refinished in park/phosphate type finish when work was done to the slide, etc. Was also popular finish to redo these guns in when the custom work was done as its a tougher finish and most guys doing this type of custom work were possibly competing with it or were at least serious shooters.

Anyway...C&S or not, looks like a cool Hi Power and the serial number off of the front of the grip frame would be helpful (should be there since its not present on slide and top of frame). Im interested possibly so share a bit more info or a couple more pics please.

Im interested so with a bit more info we might be able to get a deal done. thanks
