Browning A-Bolt II Stainless Stalker in .270 Win w/ BOSS. The serial number dates this rifle as being manufactured in 1994. I bought this rifle from the original owner in 1998 and was the first one to actually take it into the field. It has taken a white tail buck in KS (230 yards), and an antelope in WY (469 yards). This has been my baby and I've been meticulous in caring for it. Always in a hard case during travel.
Attached is a picture of a three shot group using some hand loads I worked up for it. I never actually used the hand loads for hunting purposes as the muzzle velocity was only 2,600 fps. Shooting Hornady Superformance SST in 130 grain, it had a ten shot average muzzle velocity of 3,007 fps and it still shot a 1" group at 100 yards! Since I used it for hunting and not punching paper, it wasn't worth the loss of energy with the hand loads when it shoots those factory loads so well at 400 fps faster.
THE SCOPE IS NOT INCLUDED AT THIS PRICE, but the Leupold rings and one piece base are part of the deal. I would consider leaving the Leupold VX-III 3.5-10x40 mounted on the rifle for $225. I paid $80 just for the Leupold magnetic scope caps.
I have never had the trigger or any parts modified. All original as it came from Browning.
