Starting with a used gun barrel from a gun shop or show, the pistol is built using only garage tools, an angle grinder with cutoff disk, a bench drill press with X-Y table, files, bench grinder, and wire welder. It uses a bar magazine with the rounds embedded in the magazine ( much like a revolver cylinder ) which ratchets down through the gun as it is fired.
The result is an expedient, single-action 6 or 7 shot homemade pistol.
The book is about 112 pages with gloss cover, and large size format, 6.7" x 9.6" with 61 photos and drawings of construction as it is built. The small parts are surface hardened and heat treated with a process that can be done easily at home.
Just a fun read and description of the build, step by step, lots of photos. By Gary F. Hartman who did the previous "Homebuilt Firearms".
Book is available from Amazon, $13.95 . Also an E-book is available.
