"BA" prefix in the serial number indicates a manufacturing date of 1991, according to Beretta's date codes for Italian-made firearms. Worth noting you have what appears to be an "unfired"(lack of barrel release wear) EL model (Gold accents). Grampa had good taste. All the best, Steve
