Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Not to snub but the length of pull on recurves and longbows are determined by the length of the bow... If you draw past their 90 degree angle of the limb and string bad things can happen...
For general purpose there is no length of pull. Your personal length of pull would normally be different then with a recurve. But a 58" bow is not that long but will accommodate a shooter with a personal length of pull for a recurve of at least 31"
Above: that is Maximum lenght of pull and where bad things happen. Some one with a short 26" to a longer 31" can shoot the same bow.
That is the thing... For general purpose most people do not know there can be a a max range they should stick to for a good shooting recurve/longbow and that length can make the difference of feel... Just wanting people to be careful so they dont overdraw a bow and have a limb snap or a string come off or deal with stacking and finger pinch trying to make one fit their draw.
