Google authenticator app. For highly sensitive stuff get a Yubi Key.How do you set up 2 factor on your phone?
I've been using the full Proton suite for a few years now and I love it. I had been using Gmail, Drive, etc for so many years that I'm still migrating stuff before I fully divest of all things Google.Stop using passWORDS and start using passPHRASES. Minimum of 12 characters. Make them unique per service, don't reuse them.
Even better, use a password manager and let it create randomized passwords. There are several good ones out there, but I've been using Dashlane for the last 8 or 9 years and can still recommend it. I'm likely going to transition to Proton since I already use their paid email and VPN services.
If you're averse to paying for a password manager, there's a gazillion plugins out there that utilize keepass as the backend. They range from clunky to useable depending on what kind of device(s) you're utilizing and how much effort you want to put into getting them to work and maintaining them. To me, it's been worth the $65/year for Dashlane.
I try not to put all my eggs in one basket, but Protons services have consistently improved over the years and they keep adding new things that are sometimes slow out of the gate, but improve quickly and make it hard to stay away from.I've been using the full Proton suite for a few years now and I love it. Yes, all of their offerings are great and they're very privacy-centric and based out of Switzerland. IMHO, in this day and age it's worth it to pay for the full suite of services.Protonmail is great...
