Just looked that one up too and does look like some cheap fun. Amazon has that model too. I don't much like what Jeff does with my money but, for stuff like this I love using him. If you get a problem they just take it back free and fast.
For the most part I agree. In fact, that reminds me I have a return item to drop off for free the next time I drive past a UPS store (show them a barcode on my phone and walk away). Works 100% so far on things I get that don't measure up to the ads (you know, stuff like a guitar strap with a surprise warning label that the leather was treated with chromium hexavalent and lead - YIKES!!!).

Know that there can be small print on some things too.

I stopped short of buying a nice $1,400 acoustic guitar through Amazon because I stumbled into a tiny (buried) caveat explaining that it was exempt from the otherwise excellent Prime return policy (money back, free shipping, etc.). Then got it for $1,200 locally after a 3-month wait.

BB guns? Maybe? Maybe not?

I'd recommend making sure there isn't some similar caveat lurking in there regarding the return of a "used" gun.

Just looked again at one of them, the Barra, did not see anything. I have a few of those jump boxes for the cars. Those did warn me that they were not returnable if there was a problem. Not sure what they would do if I got one that was dead. All goes back to the #1 rule I have long used for buying. Pay with a credit card. I did have something one time LONG ago they (Amazon) tried to pull a stunt. It was dead, I told them I wanted money back. Amazon said it was a 3d party seller and they could not help me. I e-mailed the seller got no response. So I reversed the charge on the card. Now that got Amazon's attention. I got a nice e-mail saying "did we do something to make you angry? I told them what had happened and in hours I was told my money had been refunded and I could just dispose of the item. The only people who still get burned are those who for reasons I can not comprehend insist on using some other payment option.

This seems very appealing using airsoft electric technology instead of CO. Seems it'd be fun indoors with a target/trap on wet/windy days. And maybe useful for varmint control around the yard. Anyone here own one?

BBs suck donkey balls for varmint control. They bounce everywhere and off everything and when they hit glass it breaks. They are also inconsistent/inaccurate compared to pellets. A well placed pellet is the way to go for that task. I'm not saying anything against the gun, I don't know anything about it.

Stumbled over this (new to me) tidbit today, they're making optional 100-round magazines now (up from maximum 50 before). That's a big plus with any high rate-of fire projectile-hose.

where did you find this info?
On the Barra website.
Appears it's just an option. The gun comes with a 50.

One of the things initially holding me back was that at approximately 10 rounds per second in full auto, the 50-rd magazine (only thing available at one time) wouldn't last long, even with judicious trigger control and short bursts. So 100-rd capacity is just better.

And the newer 400e Gen 2 has a higher muzzle velocity, which doesn't suck.

Having poured ammo through a number of full-auto bullet-hoses (gunpowder), I'd also be happy to see Barra cut the rate of fire in half. To me, 5rps is just as exciting as 10rps (rat-a-tat-tat as opposed to bzzzt), and ultimately more fun as a full magazine (50 or 100) would simply last longer. Quickest possible mag dump gets boring really fast.
