"Choppa" is apparently a "Moorish" sovereign citizen. That probably put him the radar.
A sovereign citizen that made sure to follow all the rules around his firearms?

Meanwhile, every other sovereign citizen is like . . .

I have seen so much crap and abuse ftom ATF that it's jyst business as usual for them. They are not friends of 2A.
I don't doubt that, but each story needs to provide the facts and evidence for us to judge. I haven't heard of this person until this thread and its a valid question why the ATF raided in the first place.
and heres the thing, nobody's going to convince anyone the ATF is corrupt until facts like the reason for the raid is given. Otherwise its just another raid that turned up nothing and will be forgotten about in a month.

The warrant is sealed. .. of course. This guy taught gun rights to the local black community. I wonder why they broke down his door at 6am, marched his half naked family out into the 20 degree weather at gunpoint, threatened to blow open hus safe with explosives. I would be livid if this happened to me. I hope he sues them and wins a huge settlement. Who defends the ATF? I give up.

I'm not defending the ATF. I have a valid question and until its answered nobody has any valid reason to say the raid was unjust.

No one is defending the ATF.

Going full Chicken Little in a factual vacuum seems to have become a standard response to these kinds of incidents. It does not help the 2a cause, but rather makes gun owners look like reactive children.

Frankly, the warrant is irrelevant to me. The guy is not a criminal. The ATF has gone fully tyrannical. Sorry, I have had my fill of this agency and all they do to "defend our rights" 🙄.

IMO, the ATF is simply a political gun pointed directly at legal gun owners and they are too chikenbubblegum to go after gangbangers with illegal machine guns in the inner city. It's time they felt the pain of their abuse and unwillingness to do the hard dangerous work.

So the article says he's not a criminal, so you take that as gospel? Has he done any criminal things? Just because the guy owns guns makes him a good person in your book?

Based on that, Knee Pads is an awesome prosecutor and hasn't made it in life from DEI as reported my CNN.

One article . . . funny. Ya ya...keep on keeping on with that.

I'm of the opinion that there is no such thing as a warranted ATF Raid, as the agency should not exist and provides no beneficial service to the American people. I don't even care if this guy was a criminal!

So.... You agree with one article that's biased?
Not that it matters, but why not: GOA interview. NAGR interview. Langley Outdoors video. Liberty Doll video. Ammoland article. GoFundMe page. Various substack articles. Washington Times. X.

I have no need of this corrupt and frankly evil organization. We obviously are at opposite sides of this coin.

Another article

Notably, the ATF have not pursued/charged him with any crime, so far.

Another good reason to abolish the ATF IMO.

It seems @The Heretic is correct, ""bad Intel"" from someone in southern MD informed the ATF of Mark being involved with "illegal weapons and drug trafficking".

His apparent crime IMO is being a legal gun owner with a large number of legal guns, who happens to be a minority, involved with educating fellow black community members on gun safety, and gun rights...

Why ain't a certain group protesting the raid on him? After all, ain't the ATF/police ""systematically racist""?

I'm not saying he's guilty or not guilty. What I am saying is that we have one side of the story. Approximately 50% of households have firearms, that makes for a pretty broad swath of Americans.

Gun owners range from the college educated to the HS dropouts, people on welfare to the top 0.01% of income earners, from the straight laced Christians to the LGBTQ+. Unfortunately, there are some criminals within that group.

Why would you blindly trust any news or information source without evidence?

^ This. Even a broken analog clock is correct twice a day. As much as I don't like the AFT, just because they raided someone, I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon against them. As gun owners, aren't we against criminals having guns?

Yup . . . this is the logical conclusion. Shut up or pay the price.

And we trust judges and the ATF more? Na...not happening.
