Coming from Fox news of all place... expect to see politicans trying to play off the "survivalist" angle and push for further restrictions and possibly "closures" of state and national forests against both hunters and recreational campers who happen to also have guns
(to say nothing of the post- modern "buschrafter/woodsman" trend)

Precisely. Just because the trash decides having a gun and living in the woods makes him a survivalist, does not mean he is one. He's just a bum, a violent one at that

I would not call this man anything but a 'transient' aka A WORTHLESS BUM MURDERER who murdered another person.
He is not a 'survivalist' in my opinion. He is a dirt bag murderer.
Give him a fair trial and if and when he is found guilty... he gets to be hung in a public square or he gets shot by a firing squad.
The state of CA got rid of the death penalty but they should bring it back in my opinion. That goes for all states. CA and other states should never have outlawed it. When a person like Manson and his dirty ilk get to live out their lives in jail or be RELEASED on parole... something is very wrong in this country.
There was some borderline sane/insane man who knew what he was doing when he set an apartment building on fire in this university town. He was being evicted for many reasons and he did not like it so he set his place on fire. There were disabled, elderly and other people living in this newly fixed up building (Over a million some dollars were spent by the owner.) - they took some HUD money - 'vouchers' from what I remember. The criminal fire starter man knew EXACTLY what he was doing, admitted it too, and the judge in town did NOT keep him in jail or send him to an asylum. They said that punishing him would not do any good. NO !!! Meanwhile, he could have murdered people in wheelchairs and other people in that building. They lost their homes until it could be fixed up all over again. They lost their belongings. I could NOT BELIEVE that he did not have to serve more jail time or be put away in some nut house with the key thrown away! He did not spend that much time 'behind bars' while the system decided what to do with him. YOU should have seen the news from the apartment building owner and tenants. THE SYSTEM SAID THAT PUNISHING THE FIRE STARTER WOULD NOT DO ANY GOOD. I kid you not! Words by one judge in this town.
This country needs to do something about the criminal justice system no matter if a person is sane, insane, stupid, smart or at any IQ level. There should be NO excuse for people who do these things to other people and their homes.
There should be NO excuse for people who murder other people like the murdered Father above.
How about justice for the victim's family and ALL victims in this country?!
And most of these so called 'transients' are nothing but dirt bag BUMS, drug addicts, drunks, life long criminals with very long records who move from one liberal town/state to another with their hands out!
Are there serious homeless people OUT there? Yes, but there is an entire group of people that I like to call the 'Homeless Industrial Complex' (Taken from Ike who called it right with the MIC in one of his final speeches!) who out of their own CHOICE and lifestyle continue to live like this. They come in ALL ages and in any other card that the socialists and psycho babble experts choose to use.
There have been stories written about a whole underground group of people including young/strong/healthy college age or work age (Over 16/18 years old.) people who Choose to Roam the country year round. From Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon to ALL of the other states combined. They ADMIT that they love the lifestyle and many of them make more than the so called working poor. There was a documentary done about these people and in many newspapers too.
Do some of them live in cities, TAXPAYER PAID and charity/religious shelters, small towns, rural areas, in the woods, by the lakes, rivers, beaches, etc.? YES.
Then the socialists want to give these lazy people more free housing - stay drunk or on drugs - no problem. We will say that you are 'mental' and give you a nice place in a WET HOUSE.
It stinks and all of the PC snowflake words in the so called criminal justice reform bills don't make it smell any better either.

PS: I am aware that Manson died in jail. Too bad that they let him live for all of those years.
I read Helter Skelter not long after it came out in a paperback version. I remember when all of that happened as a young lady too.

Sounds like the homeless trash living in forest park
Said it when this story first came out. This is why 7/10 times I go backpacking I carry a long gun + handgun, and 10/10 times when I am driving in the woods or car camping. I know the city is more dangerous, but typically you don't have crazy bastards dressed like ninjas shooting people with rifles in the city.
