My Dad (a Marine Viet Nam Vet) was telling me how they would field strip and reassemble their rifles blindfolded or in the dark. I thought that would be a cool way to build an AR15. It didn't work out very well (see pics). The soul of this receiver is in firearm heaven but the corpse remains. It cannot be revived and is permanently inoperable, therefore it will have to serve another purpose in this earthly domain. It is still a firearm by ATF standards and the serial number is intact so it will require a transfer at the FFL. I am asking $50 cash (price is firm) and I will cover FFL fees (up to $25) at Tigard Pawn 4 More in Tigard. No shipping and I am not interested in meeting at any other FFL.
This receiver should be IP 18 compliant and you shouldn't have to register it based on Section 3 (l) (B), if voters approve IP 18 in Nov 2022: " Any firearm that has been made permanently inoperable."
See Full text of IP 18 here: http://oregonvotes.org/irr/2022/018text.pdf
I will bring it to the FFL with an engaged cable lock as SB 554 Section 4 (1) (a) requires: See full text of SB 554 here: https://olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz/2021R1/Downloads/MeasureDocument/sb554/Enrolled
