AR15 buffer tube

Had a mishap the other day and kinda bent my buffer tube. Anyone know a local dealer that sells a stainless steel buffer tube...the one Ive seen have all been aluminum.

+1...I have never heard of a "stainless steel" buffer tube. They are all aluminum. Either mil spec or commercial.

It sounds like you need an A2 stock.

If you want steel you need to look at the pneumatic or hydraulic buffer assemblies.

Those buffers will still be running in an aluminum buffer tube.

Something about torquing down a steel tube insert into a alloy forged ar-15 lower sounds wrong, the user monitor on this site sells very high quality mil and commercial spec buffer tubes, that ive used in .308 AR platform builds, so their tough, even when I accidentally gut-checked my roommate with my AR-15 it didnt bend or collapse.
