The Cascade Sportsman's Club, which manages the range, has recently installed a cover for the 100 yard firing line which helps keep shooters out of the weather.
The 2-day seminar, which teaches fundamental rifle marksmanship (the way the Army used to teach it), also provides some history of the events that led up to the start of the Revolutionary War on April 19, 1775. If you've been watching "Sons of Liberty" on the History Channel, come out to an Appleseed and find out what really happened (not the historical fiction version)!
Appleseed is a great event for new and experienced rifle shooters; very few participants leave at the end of the weekend without improving their marksmanship or knowledge of history. Bring your rifles (22 or centerfire) and ammo--approximately 400 rounds and plan on having a great time! 22 LR ammo is available for sale at cost to youth shooters as needed, by prior arrangement.
