I had a 17RTF2, but couldn't get over the look and feel compared to the usual gen. 3's. Technically Glock is treating them like a three and a half; with the 4th gen frames to have interchangeable backstraps among other things.

I got one in a trade and although I didn't like it when I first saw these, I find that it shoots and feels fine. I thought that it might be a bit abrasive when shooting but that is not the case. The 3rd Gen points and feels so much better than the original. I hope that the 4th Gen feels like the sigma.

The Gen4 reportedly is going to have a modified grip texture and interchangeable back straps. I've heard that the mag release is supposed to change too.

I'm perfectly happy with my Gen3, though. :p
