Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
I'm wondering if anyone in Western Oregon or SW Washington has formed up a receiver flat for the HK series? If so, what did you use for making the bends and truing up the receiver?
I'm thinking of doing a build from an Apex kit as a father/son project.
I have bent several. It is easy if you have the correct tooling. The most important part of the process is to make sure it is exactly centered before you start bending. You need a hydraulic press also, and a mig or tig welder. If you are up in the Puget Sound area, bring your flat and I will let you use my tooling in my shop. I can coach you but I can't do it for you.
