It's already hard enough getting out of bed when you're old without a hangover.

After trying to moderate -- with some success -- my drinking for years I finally quit completely 2 1/2 years ago. I had a 5 year sober period in the 2000s but this feels permanent so far. I'm gonna be 60 next month so I don't really need to be doing that to my body anymore. Also, I've saved a lot of money... and pretty much put that all into guns. About the only negative I can think of is my sugar cravings went through the roof and stayed there. (And I'm diabetic.) I highly recommend sobriety, especially later in life.
