The jaws open up to about 4 inches.
They are 3.5 inches wide.

This is a Japanese style urn that was used, but now contains no remains. The outer protective box needs care because the fabric on the inside holding the lid is worn.
Despite that the interior is well.
The items include:
Wood box to hold ceramic - probably - urn.
There is a smaller piece that looks decorative, I believe this section is for teeth originally, but I can find no examples online. It is a Wilbert design.
Also comes with the decorative sleeves for both the wooden box and small glass container.
Surely this could be used as originally designed or cleaned and used as a storage vessel for tea, candy, etc.
