I have raised 3 boys, one a step son
each had their own rifle by age 6 and kept it in his room
each went shooting with me until they were about 10, then allowed to shoot on their own
none of them turned out to be school shooters
Hmmm, let's see…

Parent involvement
Teaching of values
Teaching of morals
Discipline

The list could go on but I think you get the idea…

Let's see. The kid that shot Trump was previously investigated by the FBI. This kid was investigated by the FBI.

FBI=Federal Bunglers Institute?

Can they F up anything else?

If M114 is made law as written, they will definitely F up Oregon's permit to purchase... So that's nice

Nope. It would just read bubblegumming mother bubblegummers! Oh I guess that would be FMI. :s0023: (FMF?)

Sadly, this is what happens when gun owners dont advocate new gun owners lock up their guns. We get what we advocate for.
I don't advocate for the GOVT being involved in my life (on many levels).

As for example......
Demanding how I store my guns in MY HOME (with or without minors).
Or
Demanding/Regulating how I enjoy my bedroom activities (between consenting adults of course).

Aloha, Mark

To clarify, I never suggested the govt advocate for anything.

I can see that maybe the FBI may have "known something" about the shooter. But then, I have to also ask? What could/should the FBI or say local PDs do? I mean.......with very little to go on.......

What would/could the D/A or the DOJ say/do about the situation?

When in doubt......
Should law enforcement have brought the issue before a JUDGE to decide if a RED FLAG should/could apply in the situation (or if some law was breached)?

WAIT, Wait, wait.....
EVERYONE should learn to always "cover their @$$". Rrrrright..... AND no one is allowed to make judgment calls or make a "mistake" anymore (without criticism that is).

Unless you're GOD.

But, aren't Judges close enough? LOL.

IMAGE. What if......the situation had been brought before a judge (a year ago)? And lets say that the judge had decided to dismiss the case. Then OMG?!?!?!

Aloha, Mark

PS......remember how much money, time and effort was spent on the investigation of TRUMP (Russia Collusion)? Mind you.....a sort of the same issue was brought up about Brandon. Hummm......

Yeah, anyway......for some, we need to do MORE. Yeah......we'd have to at least spend an equal amount on any anonymous threatening call or internet post. Afterall.....It's For The Kids.

Forgetaboutit.

Just ban GUNS!

Dang, sounds like the parents were real pieces of bubblegum. Mom on drugs, in and out of jail, kids begging at neighbors for food.

"The disturbed teenager came from a broken home, where he and his sister were regularly abused by their troubled mother and visited frequently by police and child services, a former neighbor and landlord told The Post Thursday.

Colt's mother, 43-year-old Marcee Gray, 43, has a lengthy rap sheet spanning 17 years and four Georgia counties, including arrests for drug possession, driving under the influence and domestic violence."

I'll like to praise the School Resource Officer actually confronting the active shooter and not cowering outside. He stopped it from becoming another Uvalde.

I'm surprised democrats are not calling to ban SROs in all schools.
I have seen several of them saying just that, get Cops out of our schools. Of course many of them will be saying they never said it even as video of them saying it is playing behind them.

Well he will be getting lots of attention now and 3 meals a day.

Shooter's Dad arraigned today. Faces 180 years, multiple counts 2nd Degree Murder, cruelty to children, etc.

Fox News commentator (a former Asst. D.A.) referenced what Dad had told authorities about the guns in the house (on a previous contact), saying "only hunting guns...".

This D.A. made a definitive statement, "An AR15 is not a hunting gun."

Tens of thousands of them are, and purchased for no other use and no other intention.

Mine is.

....and will be, right up until the moment someone comes to take it away.

As if it would have been "different" if the damn sicko had gone with a bird or skeet shotgun and killed? Or even a .22? If that was the case would this moron say that was fine since it was a gun for hunting? These idiots will use ever damn excuse they can find to try for more laws.

One of the earlier reports I saw indicated the father said "only bolt action hunting guns" Not questioning that AR style rifles can be a great option for hunters, but I would like to know which quote from the father is actually accurate.
If he said "only hunting guns..." then it could just be semantics, but if he did say "only bolt action hunting guns" (or something like that that included the 'bolt action' part) then the father might have been lying to the officers for his own reasons
