I stumbled on this forum a couple of weeks ago and read a few threads. It seemed like a bunch of nice, knowledgeable folks gather here and I could learn from them. Not firearms related, I've ridden motorcycle all over the Pac NW for years and love that part of the county. Besides the two-wheeled hobby, I'm interested in photography and, of course, firearms. I'm an old Vietnam vet so be easy on me!

Welcome Mike, quite a bit of knowledge and banter to be found here.

The lady and I have been talking about moving your way. She keeps finding stuff around the Triangle, but I'm leaning towards the Greensboro area.

The Research Triangle, Raleigh, Durham & Chapel Hill is a nice area with lots of traffic. Our daughters live in Raleigh and they absolutely love the area. I live in High Point, about 7 miles from Greensboro. There's a slower pace here, to be sure, and that's fine for my wife and me. From here, I can be in the mountains in about an hour and at the beach in just over three hours. Wherever you settle, I think you'll like North Carolina. Most folks are pretty laid back around here.

Appreciated Mike. I wouldn't mind a slower pace, but she's more a a city gal.. so we'll see. Either way looking forward to getting off the west coast and exploring your neck of the woods.
